Bilateral purulent maxillary sinusitis (new EX735Ag Modific)

Patient details

Gender/age: female, 35. Teacher at Medical University.

Complaints: at the time of seeing me the patient complained of sense of tension and pains in the right maxillary sinus. No discharge from nasal passages.

Past medical history: patient considers herself a sick person during the last 5-6 years, since she was diagnosed with bilateral maxillary sinusitis. Experiences exacerbation 4-5 times a year. She is treated by ENT specialists. Left maxillary sinus was twice punctuated for withdrawal of the contents.

She was consulted by the ENT specialist because of the present exacerbation. Was suggested a puncture of the right maxillary sinus.

Treatment

Time of action during session: 30-40 min

Action modes used: Scenar, Scenar-Cosmodic Slider auto, Scenar-Cosmodic Slider 5.

Areas treated: back, cervical collar zone, zone of jugular fossa, projection of paranasal sinuses, first of all, maxillary sinuses, and also He Gu point GI.4.

Change of the patient’s condition during and after session: sense of tension in the right maxillary sinus area became less expressed.

Total number of sessions: 3

Total time of treatment (days, weeks): we could only work for one day.

Final result of treatment: the patient called 2 days later and said that the day after the session she woke up in the morning with the unbearable pain in the right maxillary sinus. The pain was so severe that she was ready to go immediately to the ENT's for the puncture of cavity. But a couple of hours later profuse pus began to discharge from the right nasal passage. At first it was thick pus of yellow-green colour. Then it became more and more liquid and mucous. Pain syndrome and a feeling of tension are gone since the beginning of discharge the contents of maxillary sinus. Discharge from the nose stopped on the third day.

Comments: patient, being a doctor by profession was amazed at the large amount of pus discharged.
